Mrs. Foluso Olayinka Onabowale is a Chartered Accountant and Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. She holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife and an MBA from the University of Lagos in 1989. She is a self-driven professional with about three decades post-graduation experience in Audit & Risk Management and Financial Commercial Procurement.
Born on the 13th March, 1957 in Akure, Ondo State, her working experience cuts across Banking, Accounting & Taxation Practice, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing and Commercial organizations. She has developed great passion for quality and the ability to expertly manage multiple and complex projects and assignments simultaneously keeping them on time, within scope, budget and at the same time achieving set objectives.
She held various management and professional roles with responsibilities as an external auditor in Balogun Binder Badejo & Co (Chartered Accountants), a Project Accountant at the old NIDB now Bank of industry and later joined NAL Merchant Bank plc now Sterling bank Plc where she served in various capacities in internal audit and international operations and as Divisional Head in charge of Treasury, Corporate Services.
She made a career move to the service industry when she joined the services of Technology Derivatives Limited in January 2000 as the Company’s Managing Consultant for the successful implementation of the LASG Global computerisation project and Oracle financials.
Mrs. Onabowale later joined GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Nigeria plc in 2004 and she served as Company Secretary and Head Corporate Financial Reporting and Governance during which there were qualitative improvements in corporate governance practices and strong financial and control environment for the business. During her time there, there was no penalty or sanctions from regulatory agencies for non-compliance.
She also served as Project Director in charge of Commercial Procurement and was responsible for the management of key strategic projects cutting across marketing, production, finance, warehousing and other commercial functions of Anglophone West African Region with annual turnover in excess of =N=50Billion until she retired in 2012.
She is currently the Managing Consultant & CEO, TowerCross Professional Services Limited – a Business Advisory and Financial Management Consulting company. The company has been engaged as Advisors in various financial advisory services for organisations including Courierplus Services Ltd, Mamacass Restaurants Ltd, Alpgam Energy ltd, Superflux International Ltd, GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Nigeria plc, NIRA.Com and the Lagos State Judiciary.
She is a Healthy Living Ambassador and loves singing and dancing to spiritual songs, light exercising and educating people on the benefits of adopting a healthy lifestyle. She is married to Engineer Olusegun Onabowale and they are blessed with three children and several grandchildren. She is a practising Christian.
