Mrs. Adeniran, Risikat Bolanle is a seasoned Procurement professional with over 28 years of progressive experience in both the procurement field and educational industry. Born in the vibrant neighborhood of Ebute Metta, Lagos, Mrs. Adeniran hails from the revered Aladeseso ruling house of Ibeju in Ibeju Lekki Local Government Area of Lagos State, a place known for its rich culture and heritage. Throughout her career, she has consistently demonstrated a strong ability to drive strategic procurement initiatives resulting in substantial cost savings, improved supplier performance, and enhanced supply chain efficiency. Currently serving as a trusted leader within the procurement cadre of the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency, Mrs. Adeniran oversees all aspects of procurement regulatory operations, from strategic sourcing and contract negotiation to supplier relationship management and compliance.

In her role as Director of Monitoring Enforcement and Compliance, Mrs. Adeniran is responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing procurement compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with relevant laws, regulations and the Agency’s standards. She implements robust monitoring mechanisms to maintain the integrity of procurement processes across diverse government agencies in Lagos State. She proactively identifies and addresses compliance risks, collaborates closely with the Legal Adviser of the Agency and regulatory bodies and leads regular audit and investigations to evaluate compliance with procurement policies.

Her leadership extends beyond regulatory compliance. She excels in building and motivating high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement. Mrs. Adeniran provides guidance, mentorship and support to team members, empowering them to excel in their roles and contribute to the organisation’s success. With a deep understanding of procurement laws, regulations and industry best practices, she ensures that all procurement activities are conducted ethically, transparently and in accordance with established guidelines.

Her achievements have been recognised with prestigious awards, including the Africa Procurement & Supply Chain Award for Outstanding Contributions to Public Procurement and the Women in Media Award for her leadership role in achieving a cleaner Lagos.

She holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Lagos and she is a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply, UK and Nigeria, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Contract Project and Facility Management, among other professional qualifications.

Outside of her professional endeavours, Mrs. Adeniran enjoys travelling and meditating. She is passionate about continuous learning and has participated in various courses, conferences and workshops to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices. She is committed to delivering strategic value, driving cost efficiencies, and optimizing procurement operations to support organisational growth and success.
